Let me jump right to the point. Junkyard Dogs
of Raleigh, LLC began
using the [Mark-2] Monopolar Fuel Saver (under the Vortex Brand) system at the
end of summer 2008. Cory Viklund is managing partner of the
Raleigh branch of
"JYD" and he contacted me about a new product he was testing. He said he was
trying out a product (Monopolar Fuel Saver ) that guaranteed a 10% increase (at
least) in fuel mileage as well as other benefits related to more purely spent
fuel (greatly reduced emissions). I asked him to keep me updated as he tried out
the technology. A short time later his results began coming in and his mpg on an
automatic Isuzu NPR with full sided dump attachment showed a dramatic
improvement. His mpg had jumped from just above
8 mpg to a fluctuating range of
11.5 to a little over 12 mpg. (40% to +50%)
Cory and I subsequently had several conversations in which I asked him somewhat
skeptically, "Are you certain what you are seeing?" He assured me and urged me
to have the technology installed on the Greensboro JYD trucks. The short of it
is that our trucks here in Greensboro (manual Isuzu NPR's) have experienced the
same level of increased performance....the readings pre- Monopolar Fuel Saver
had us at 12.8 mpg to 13.3 and we experienced a pre-oil and filter change
increase to a range of 15.5 to a fraction over 16 mpg.
Manual 5.2 - Post filter and oil change show +25% average savings.
Needless to
say we have been blown away by the results. I should also add that we have the
Fuel Savers on our personal vehicles and the results are equally impressive. The
added benefit (maybe the greatest?) of tremendously reduced fuel emissions is
one we are actively informing our customers of...a 90% reduction of carbon
imprint means a lot.
